Fort Wayne, Indiana -- The Quad Cities River Bandits dropped their series finale to the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Sunday at Parkview Field and mustered just three hits in a 6-1 loss.

Fort Wayne jumped out to a first-inning lead against Quad Cities' Rylan Kaufman, with each of the TinCaps' first four batters reaching, including Corey Rosier who scored Jarryd Dalef on a double.

Three batters later, back-to-back sacrifice-flies from Olivier Basabe and Agustin Ruiz made it a 3-0 Fort Wayne lead, before Robert Hassell III made it a 4-0 TinCaps' advantage with a two-out RBI knock in the second inning.

On offense, Quad Cities had little answer for Jackson Wolf, who faced the minimum his first time through the order and didn't allow a base runner until Juan Carlos Negret walked in the fifth.

Anthony Simonelli and Christian Chamberlain each got tagged for a run out of the bullpen on Rosier's sixth inning RBI single and Brandon Valenzuela's seventh-inning homer respectively, puting Fort Wayne up 6-0.

Wolf worked two outs into the seventh and collected a career-high 11 strikeouts, but gave up a double to Kale Emshoff. With Gabe Morales having taken over for Wolf, Morgan McCullough snagged the Bandits' lone run, sending an RBI single up the middle to plate Emshoff and bust the shutout bid. However, McCullough would be the final man to reach for Quad Cities, as Morales worked a perfect eighth and ninth to secure the TinCaps' win.

After a season-high innings total, Wolf (2-3) earned the win for Fort Wayne, while Kaufman (1-1) allowed four runs in 4.0 frames en route to his first loss of the season.

With the season-long 12-game road trip in the books, Quad Cities will return to Modern Woodmen Park on Tuesday for the first of six games with the Beloit Sky Carp. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30pm CT.
