Indianapolis Indians News Release

LOUISVILLE, KY. - A six-run fourth inning, capped by Diego Castillo's 18th home run of the season, put the Indianapolis Indians ahead of the Louisville Bats en route to an 11-4 win on Tuesday night.

The Indians (52-56) led off the fourth inning with four straight hits off Hunter Greene (L, 5-7). Jared Oliva singled in Christian Bethancourt from second base, and with two runners on John Nogowski doubled home both to take a 3-0 lead. As the eighth batter of the inning after Tucupita Marcano singled home another run, Castillo launched his second homer with Indianapolis to cap the six-run frame.

Both teams traded runs in the fifth inning before Taylor Davis extended Indianapolis' lead in the seventh with a three-run home run, his second of the season. Both of his home runs with Indy have come vs. Louisville, his first on Aug. 25 at Victory Field.

The Bats (46-62) matched Indy's three-run top of the seventh with three runs of their own in the bottom half. With two outs, Narciso Crook singled home two runs to cut the Indians lead to 10-4.

Max Kranick (W, 3-4) tossed his second Triple-A quality start with just one run allowed in 6.0 innings. All three of his wins with Indianapolis have come on the road.

The Indians and Bats will face off again for the second game of the six-game set on Wednesday night at 6:30 PM ET. RHP Beau Sulser (6-5, 4.26) will take the mound against LHP Reiver Sanmartin (6-2, 3.80).
