
Shorebirds to Begin Homestand on Thursday

SALISBURY, Md. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds, Class "A" affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, will begin their second homestand of the season on Thursday, April 23. All four games will be against the Greensboro Grasshoppers, the Class "A" affiliate of the Miami Marlins, and will feature a number of promotions for fans to take advantage of.
Thursday, April 23, 7:05 p.m.
The Shorebirds return home from their first road trip of the season on Kiss 95.9 Thirsty Thursday presented by University Village. Fans can enjoy 16-ounce cans of Miller Lite and Coors Light as well as 16-ounce Pepsi products for just $2.
Friday, April 24, 7:05 p.m.
Shorebirds fans can kick off the weekend with an incredible deal on Froggy 99.9 Big Beer Friday, where 32-ounce Miller Lite and Coors Light drafts can be had for just $6.
Early-arriving fans will score another special 20th anniversary giveaway, as the first 1,000 people through the gates will receive a 20th Anniversary Team Poster courtesy of the Wicomico County Health Department. Delmarva players and coaches will again break out throwback jerseys modeled after the ones worn during the team's first season in 1996.
Finally, Friday will mark the fourth Hit the Books Night of the year presented by Dr. James M. Crouse's The Brace Place. Students from area schools who participated in this reading program will take part in a pregame parade on the field.
Saturday, April 25, 7:05 p.m.
Saturday's game will be a celebration of area Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts as a part of Scout Night 2015 presented by Dr. Susan Vickers at Seaside Smiles. Scouts will be invited to take part in a special pregame parade on the field and enjoy many other events throughout the evening.
The night will conclude with a Q105 Fireworks Show presented by Dr. Susan Vickers at Seaside Smiles.
Sunday, April 26, 2:05 p.m.
On Sunday, the Shorebirds will welcome our four-legged friends to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for Bark in the Park presented by Beaverdam Pet Food. For a donation to the Humane Society of Wicomico County, fans will be able to enjoy that afternoon's game with their dogs while also having the chance to take part in a pregame dog parade on the field. The first 500 dog owners will receive a dog frisbee thanks to Delmarva Unleashed in addition to Beaverdam Pet Food samples.
Sunday will also be another Strike Out Hunger Sunday, where fans who bring two canned food items to the box office can receive a general admission ticket for just $3. All food collected will be distributed to local food banks.
Finally, all members of the Eastern Shore McDonald's Junior 'Birds Kids Club can run the bases following the game thanks to Chili's Grill and Bar.
Season ticket and group outing packages are currently on sale for the 2015 season. The Shorebirds are currently offering half season tickets, a 22-game plan and a 12-game plan along with a number of opportunities for groups to enjoy a night out at the ballpark.
