PREVIEW: The Shorebirds won their seventh consecutive game with a 7-2 victory on Tuesday evening. Sebastian Vader won his sixth straight start, and Jon Keller wrapped up his second save. Mike Yastrzemski hit a tie-breaking three-run homer in the seventh inning. Delmarva has pulled within five games of the Suns for the division lead.

TODAY'S OPPONENT: Austin Voth will start the finale for the Suns on Wednesday morning. Voth will make his 10th start of the year, working with a 1-3 record and 2.42 ERA. In his only start against Delmarva, Voth took a loss on April 9th, giving up four runs on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. The right-hander split 2013 between the GCL, Auburn and Hagerstown. The Nationals selected Voth in the 5th round of the 2013 MLB Draft out of the University of Washington.

19TH SEASON: The 2014 season marks the 19th season of Shorebirds baseball on the Eastern Shore and 18th straight year as a Baltimore Orioles affiliate. The Shorebirds' first season was 1996 as a Montreal Expos farm team.

ORIOLES WATCH: The Baltimore Orioles blew a ninth-inning lead in Milwaukee, spoiling a come- back. The Brewers scored a run in the ninth to force extras as Zach Britton blew a save, and then Yovani Gallardo delivered a walk-off RBI double for the 7-6 final. The O's had trailed 5-0 before coming all the way back to take a 6-5 lead.

THE IRON IS HOT: 19 out of the 25 players on the Shorebirds active roster appeared for the Ab- erdeen IronBirds in 2013. The IronBirds put together an impressive season, making the playoffs for the first time in their 12-year franchise history. Aberdeen won the McNamara Division in the New York-Penn League with a 40-32 record. The IronBirds lost in the first round of the NYPL play- offs, losing 2 games to 0 against the Tri-City Valley Cats.

WHO'S HOT/WHO ELSE

On Tuesday night, Vader collected his sixth straight victory, all coming his last six starts. Vader retired the first 13 batters he faced before a double in the 5th inning. The right-hander improved to 7-1 on the year, tying the South Atlantic League lead for wins with Brady Lail and Nick Pivetta. Vader also low- ered his ERA to 3.09.

WHO'S HOT - JIMMY YACABONIS

Through his first 16 appearances, the Del- marva closer has yet to allow a run. Yacabo- nis is perfect 12-for-12 in save opportunities with a 1-0 record. In 18.0 innings, Yacabonis has struck out 23 batters.

WHO ELSE - JEFF KEMP

Jeff Kemp went 4-for-4 on Sunday with an RBI triple to help Delmarva to a four- game sweep of Kannapolis. The Delmarva shortstop just had a 10-game hitting streak snapped in game two on Monday.
