SheBelieves Cup Returns to Red Bull Arena
January 13, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - The SheBelieves Cup will return to Red Bull Arena on Sunday, March 8, with the U.S. Women's National Team taking on Spain, and Japan facing England in a double-header.
New York Red Bulls 2020 Red Members will have access to a pre-sale on Wednesday, January 15, beginning at 10 a.m. ET. Additional details will be sent directly to Red Members.
Tickets go on-sale to the general public on Friday, January 17 at 10 a.m. ET.
Kickoff for Japan and England is set for 2:15 p.m. ET, with the US and Spain kicking off at 5 p.m. ET.
Sixth-ranked England, tenth-ranked Japan and thirteenth-ranked Spain join the top-ranked U.S. Women for the 2020 edition of the tournament, which returns to Red Bull Arena for the third time. Red Bull Arena previously hosted the SheBelieves Cup in 2017 and 2018. All three of the USA's matches will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks and in Spanish on TUDN.
The U.S. Women's National Team match at Red Bull Arena will be a rematch of the U.S.' Round of 16 win over Spain in the 2019 FIFA World Cup. The USWNT defeated Spain en route to its fourth FIFA World Cup title in France last Summer.
Inspired by the USWNT players, the #SheBelieves campaign was launched in the run-up to the FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 but has since grown into a special bond between the team and its fans, spreading its powerful message of empowerment and believing in oneself.
The SheBelieves Cup is the showcase event for the campaign and brings together many of the world's most talented women soccer players to compete in the U.S., providing a stage to shine the spotlight on role models (athletes and non-athletes alike) and showcase their accomplishments both on the field and in culture at large.
