
D.C. United Select Goalkeeper Andrew Verdi with 65th Overall Pick in MLS SuperDraft

D.C. United have selected University of Michigan goalkeeper Andrew Verdi with the 65th (Third Round) overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft presented by adidas. The Black-and-Red acquired the 65th overall pick in a trade with the New England Revolution on Jan. 11, 2019.
Verdi, an Ivyland, Pa., native recorded 66 saves and nine clean sheets in 28 appearances for the University of Michigan (2017-2019). As a senior, Verdi was selected to the All-Big Ten First Team and was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year after recording 32 saves and seven clean sheets in 15 appearances.
