Real Salt Lake Forward Julian Vazquez Named to Mexico U-20 Roster

SANDY, Utah - Real Salt Lake FW Julian Vazquez has been named to the Mexico U-20 National Team for its matches against the United States U-20s on January 16 and 18. Vazquez receives his first call-up to the U-20 squad after previously featuring for the Mexican U-18 side.

Vazquez, 18, featured in 11 matches for Real Monarchs SLC last season, making four starts and scoring one goal and adding one assist. Prior to a standout career in the RSL Academy, Vazquez featured for local powerhouse La Roca Futbol Club and played for Ridgeline High School in Millville, Utah.

Vazquez became RSL's 16th Homegrown signing in October 2018, joining RSL's current list of 9 Homegrown members on the roster, along with MF Luis Arriaga, FW Corey Baird, DF Justen Glad, DF Aaron Herrera, DF Erik Holt, GK David Ochoa, FW Tate Schmitt and DF Donny Toia. Other former Homegrown signings include Nico Muniz, Lalo Fernandez, Benji Lopez, Phanuel Kavita, Fito Ovalle, Carlos Salcedo and Ricardo Velazco, Sebastian Saucedo and Brooks Lennon.
