Durham, N.C. -- The Indianapolis Indians (65-47) erupted for seven runs in the sixth inning to topple the Durham Bulls (53-58), 8-1, Wednesday night.

The Tribe's offense totaled nine hits in the deciding inning, batting around the order with 14 total hitters coming to the plate. Eight of nine Indians starters collected a base hit in the frame and four drove in at least one run.

Keon Broxton chipped in an RBI single as part of the rout to extend his consecutive on-base streak to 29 games.

Spotted a lead, Tribe starter Chris Volstad (9-4) pitched into the seventh inning to become just the sixth pitcher in the International League to reach the nine-win plateau. He scattered six hits with one walk over 6 1/3 innings of work, and was charged with his lone run after leaving the game.
