Beloit Sky Carp News Release

Seven runs, four hits and two Snapper errors in one inning helped lead the Cougars to an 8-1 victory Wednesday night. Shooter Hunt picked up the loss for Beloit going 3.1 innings and allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits.

The Snaps got on the board first in the top of the fourth inning behind the speed of Ben Revere. Revere led off with a single to the pitcher, advanced to second on a Jeanfred Brito ground out and stole third base one batter later. Ben then scored on a Yangervis Solarte sac-fly to center, giving Beloit an early 1-0 lead.

The Cougars came storming back in the bottom of the fourth inning with seven runs off four hits. The inning was highlighted by a Todd Johnson two-run double to left field. Johnson and the Cougars left the fourth inning ahead 7-1.

Beloit was unable to get anything else going all night long and went on to drop game two of a four-game series, 8-1.

Ben Revere, Jeanfred Brito, Yangervis Solarte and Juan Richardson each had a single for the Snappers who fell to 22-23.
