
Kernels and Cougars rescheduled for August 13

August 7, 2008 - The suspended game between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Kane County Cougars from July 7 will be made up on Wednesday, August 13 starting a 4 pm at Elfstrom Stadium in Geneva, IL with the gates opening at 3:30 pm.
The game, originally played at Dale and Thomas Popcorn Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids, was suspended in the top of the fourth inning due to rain with Kane County leading 6-4 and will be completed to nine innings.
The scheduled game for August 13 will be shortened to 7 innings and will not begin earlier than the originally scheduled start time of 6:30 pm.
The Kernels are in the midst of a 10-game, 11-day home stand with the final two games against Quad Cities on Thursday, August 7 and Friday, August 8 at 7 pm with the gates opening at 6 pm. Tickets may be purchased on-line at www.kernels.com
