South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks pounded the Lansing Lugnuts tonight by the score of 9-0. The Silver Hawks started off quick by scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning. That was all Cristian Beltre (10-7) and the Silver Hawks bullpen needed tonight. Beltre gave up no runs and 2 hits in 6 innings of work. The duo of Jordan Norberto and Billy Spottiswood combined to pitch 3 innings of shutout relief. Sean Coughlin led the offensive charge tonight. Coughlin went 2 for 4 with a grand slam and 3 runs scored. Jo Jo Batten and Derrick Walker had 2 hits and 1 run apiece as well. The Silver Hawks and Lugnuts will play game 4 of their series on Friday. Game time is slated for 7:00 PM.
