Dragons Add Catcher To Roster

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster move today:

Catcher Frankie Meade has been promoted to Dayton from Billings of the Pioneer League.

Meade, a college teammate of former Dragon Todd Frazier at Rutgers University, was a 24th round selection by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2007 draft.

Meade has played in six games with Billings this season, batting .200 with four runs batted in.

The Dragons' roster is back to the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

The Dragons continue a four game series with the Fort Wayne Wizards tonight (Thursday) at Fifth Third Field at 7:00 p.m. The Dragons and Wizards are currently battling for the Midwest League Eastern Division wildcard playoff slot. The Dragons lead the Wizards by five games with 25 games to play. The two clubs also play on Friday.
