
Dragons Announce Additional Roster Changes

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:
Left-handed pitcher Mace Thurman has been promoted to Dayton from Billings of the Pioneer League.
Left-handed pitcher Steven Otterness has been promoted from Dayton to Sarasota of the Florida State League.
Thurman was outstanding at Billings, pitching in nine games out of the bullpen. He allowed just one run in 16 and two-thirds innings, going 1-0 with a 0.54 earned run average. He allowed just eight hits and four walks with 18 strikeouts. Opposing batters combined to hit just .143 against him.
Thurman played college baseball this spring at Baylor University before being selected in the 19th round of the June draft by the Reds. At Baylor, Thurman went 3-1 with a 3.18 ERA in 20 games and led the team in ERA. Thurman is 21 years old and a native of Austin, Texas.
Otterness pitched in eight games for the Dragons and posted no wins or losses with a 10.03 ERA. He enjoyed his best outing with the Dragons on Wednesday, tossing three scoreless innings.
The Dragons' roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.
