Harrisburg Senators News Release
On Thursday night at Metro Bank Park, the Senators fell to Altoona 4-2 in front of 4,571 fans. Harrisburg had several opportunities with runners at third base, but failed to capitalize in the loss. Zach Walters continued his hot hitting with a triple in the seventh extending his hit streak to eight games.
Ryan Perry made his second start for the Senators and allowed single runs to Altoona in the third and fourth innings. In the third Drew Maggi drove in a run with a two-out single and in the fourth, the run came on a home run by Matt Curry.
Altoona tacked on a third run in the fifth off Ryan Tatusko when Robbie Grossman singled in Kelson Brown giving Altoona a 3-0 lead.
The Senators finally broke through in the seventh when Walters tripled. Destin Hood reached on a run-scoring error trimming the deficit to 3-1. Eury Perez drove in a second run in the inning with an infield single, and the Sens eventually loaded the bases with two outs but didn't score further when Jesus Valdez lined out to right field ending the inning.
