RHP Danny Farquhar Added to Thunder

(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Thursday that RHP Danny Farquhar has been claimed off waivers from the Oakland A's and assigned to Trenton. In a corresponding move the Thunder have placed OF Shane Brown on the seven-day disabled list. Farquhar, who has been added to the Yankees 40-man roster, will be in uniform Thursday for the team's game at New Britain.
Farquhar joins his third organization this month, after pitching for the Blue Jays and As farm systems already this season. He pitched in five games against Trenton in 2012 while a member of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. The Louisiana-Lafayette product pitched in three major league games in 2011 with Toronto.
