
Senators Split Two with New Hampshire

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators and New Hampshire Fisher cats split their doubleheader Saturday night with New Hampshire winning game one 6-1 and the Senators bouncing back for a 7-2 win in game two. New Hampshire scored five of their six runs in game one with two outs in cruising to the win. In game two, the Senators rallied from a 2-0 deficit to score the game's final seven runs to earn the split.
The Big Plays
In game one, Leo Jiminez hit a two-out two run home run to give New Hampshire a 3-0 lead. In game two, Terone Harris III broke open the game with a two-run two out home run in the third inning giving the Senators a 5-2 lead.
On Capitol Hill
Dustin Saenz made his Double-A debut and went 3.2 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits in game one. Reid Schaller and Garvin Alston finished game one with Alston tossing a scoreless inning. In game two, Mitchell Parker and went four innings allowing two runs on four hits. Tyler Beck (two innings) and Malvin Pena (one inning) finished the game for the Sens.
With the Gavel
Harrisburg managed just three hits in game one but one of the three was a solo home run by James Wood. In game two Wood had two hits and drove in two. Frankie Tostado had two doubles and scored once. Harris hit a two-run home run. Jarrett Gonzales doubled and scored a run.
Filibusters
The split coupled with losses by Altoona and Erie leave the Senators 1.5 games out of first place with two weeks remaining in the first half... New Hampshire has won the season series, but the Senators can gain a split of this series with a win Sunday afternoon... The Senators began the day leading the league in defense and committed just one error in the two games.
On the Docket
The Senators and New Hampshire Fisher Cats play game six of their six-game series Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Stations 96.5 FM, 95.3 FM, and 1400 AM beginning at 12:45 p.m.
