Harrisburg Senators News Release
A 16-hit effort by the Harrisburg Senators led to a 13-0 victory over the New Hampshire Fisher Cats Wednesday before a crowd of 4,039 at Metro Bank Park. The victory snaps a three-game losing streak for Harrisburg (49-49).
Ten Harrisburg position players appeared Wednesday and nine of them had at least one hit. Cutter Dykstra finished 5-for-5 with a solo home run, a double, three singles and two RBI. Brian Jeroloman hit an RBI double as part of a three-run second inning and then added a two-run single in a three-run third for Harrisburg. The Senators continued to tack on with one in the fourth on Dykstra's homer and then one in the sixth on a Dykstra's RBI double. Harrisburg then blew the game wide open with a five-run seventh in which the Senators sent 11 to the plate. Shawn Pleffer hit a solo home run and drove in a run with a walk in the inning. Isaac Ballou, Derrick Robinson and Chris Bostick all added RBI hits in the inning. Ballou, Jeroloman and Reegie Corona all finished with two hits.
Meanwhile, Richard Bleier sailed through seven shutout innings. Bleier stranded a runner at third in the first inning, and then did not allow a runner to advance past second in his remaining six innings. The lefty scattered four hits, walked none and struck out two. Erik Davis worked around two hits to throw a scoreless eighth and Bryan Harper finished the shutout with a clean ninth inning.
The Senators now welcome in Western Division leader Bowie for four games, beginning Thursday night with a 7:00 p.m. start. The pregame show will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
