Tonight's Game... Tonight is the final game of the four game series and the final time the Sens play in Altoona this season. The Senators tonight look for their first series win in the month of July. The Sens are 0 for their last 4 tries to win a series in the final game of the series. They haven't won a series on the road since beating Binghamton June 9-11.

Last Time Out... Saturday night the Senators made it two straight over Altoona with a 7-2 win. Erik Arnesen was outstanding for the Sens going seven shut out innings in earning his sixth win of the season. Arnesen received all the help he would need in the first inning when Joel Guzman doubled in two runs. Leonard Davis followed with a triple to drive in Guzman to give the Sens a 3-0 lead. They doubled the lead in the fourth inning when Davis homered to lead off the inning and Ofilio Castro singled in two with the bases loaded and two outs. Bill Rhinehart added an rbi single in the fifth and the Sens cruised from their for their second straight win over the Curve after dropped their first four to Altoona. Arnesen allowed four hits and walked just one in the ballgame. Jack Spradlin and Justin Jones pitched the final two innings to finish up the game. Castro, Guzman and Davis all had two hits for the Sens.

Avoiding Akron and Bowie... The Sens are 40-52 overall and just 4-22 against Akron and Bowie. The Sens have finished their season series with Akron. They are 36-30 against the rest of the Eastern League this season.

June was Jumpin'... The Sens went 20-9 in June to become the first Eastern League team to win 20 games in a month this season. It was the first time they've won 20 games in a month in over five seasons.

A Tale of Two First Halves... The Sens experienced a significant turnaround starting June 2. In the first 47 games of the season, the Sens were 13-34 with a team batting avg of .245 41 HR 153 RBI 164 R and on the mound they had a 4.75 ERA with 317 K 143 BB 46 HR allowed and a .295 avg against. Since June 2 the Sens are 27-18 with a team batting avg of .274 42hr 205rbi 218r and on the mound a 3.48 era with 273k 130bb 24hr allowed and a .275 avg against. All of this and they are 7-10 in July.

Heating Up... Joel Guzman is 19 x 34 over his last eight games and 34 x 84 (.405) with 3 HR and 18 RBI over his last 22 games.

Misc... The Sens have four players on their active roster with big league experience INF Freddie Bynum, C Luke Montz, INF/OF Joel Guzman and LHP Matt Chico.

All-Stars... The Sens have three Southern Division All-Stars.. INF/OF Leonard Davis, LHP Jack Spradlin and RHP Josh Wilkie. Lowrance started in LF and was 1 x 2 with 2 RBI. Wilkie and Spradlin both pitched scoreless innings in the game.

Eastern League Award Winners... LHP Jack Spradlin was the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week for the week ending 6/28. He pitched in three games that week, with a line of: 8ip 2h 0r 10k 0bb 1s... INF Ofilio Castro was the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending June 14. He batted .786 (11 x 14) during the week with a HR and 7 RBI.

Current Roster... With the recent changes, the Senators have 16 players on their active roster that have spent their entire careers in the Nats farm system... The average experience on the Sens roster as of July 16 is 6.0 years... 21 of the current Senators played in the Nationals system in 2008.

Top Prospects... In Baseball America's pre-season rankings, OF Leonard Davis is #16, INF Bill Rhinehart is #17, RHP Luis Atilano is #27, LHP Cory VanAllen is #28, and C Luke Montz is #29.

40-Man Roster... There are currently 2 players on the Nats 40-man roster and they are: RH starting pitcher Luis Atilano and C Luke Montz.
