The Richmond Flying Squirrels broke a 4-4 tie with two runs in the top of the 12th inning to go ahead and beat the Harrisburg Senators, 6-4 on Monday night in front of 2,643 fans at Metro Bank Park.

Drew Vettleson (3-for-5, two RBI) and Ricky Hague (2-for-4, double, RBI) got the scoring started with run-scoring hits in the second inning. Vettleson would follow with another RBI single in the fourth inning to make it 3-2, Senators. In the fifth, Michael Taylor went the opposite way over the right field fence for a solo home run, his 18th of the year.

However, Richmond would tie it at four in the sixth on a two-run double off Neil Holland. Both runs were charged to Brian Dupra, who lasted a season-long 5.2 innings, allowing two hits while striking out three. Holland did not allow another run in his outing and Robert Benincasa followed with two scoreless innings of his own. But in the 12th, Richmond was able to sneak two across against the Sens' Derek Self for the victory.

Tomorrow night, the Senators send Paolo Espino to the mound against Richmond's right-hander, Kyle Crick in another 7 p.m. start at Metro Bank Park. The game can be heard beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m. on 1460 AM or via senatorsbaseball.com, 1460theticket.com or the iHeart Radio app.
