
Senators Defeat Bulldogs 4-2

Binghamton, New York - The Binghamton Senators defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-2 on Saturday night at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Mark Stone scored two goals and Stephane Da Costa scored the game-winner for the Senators.
The game was scoreless after the opening frame with the Bulldogs outshooting the Senators 9-7.
Binghamton opened the scoring at 6:19 of the second period on a tally by Wacey Hamilton. The puck was dumped into the offensive zone and then was thrown out in front of the net to Hamilton who one-timed the shot over the shoulder of Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Dustin Tokarski.
Hamilton tied the score at 13:42 of the second stanza as Frederic St. Denis let a shot go from the slot which flew over the glove of Binghamton Senators starting goaltender Nathan Lawson.
The Senators took a 2-1 lead at 1:57 of the third period as Mark Stone put a shot under the crossbar over the glove of Tokarski.
The 'Dogs tied the score at 7:50 of the third frame on a power-play maker by Greg Pateryn who leaned into a shot and rifled the puck over Lawson into the roof of the net.
The Sens took a 3-2 lead on the power play at 14:31 of the third as Stephane Da Costa blasted a slapper from the top of the circle and the puck went off the post and in behind Tokarski.
Stone added an empty netter at 19:38 of the third period for his second goal of the game.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the Abbotsford Heat at Copps Coliseum on Wednesday, March 27th at 7:30 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
