ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves look for their eighth consecutive home win as they take the field in the middle game of a three-game series against the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the âWolves won a 10-inning affair to snap a three-game losing skid when Scott Sizemore connected on an infield single to bring home Cale Iorg for the winning run. The team improved to 3-0 in extra innings games and continued to be the top home team in the league with their 16th home victory (16-5 at Jerry Uht Park)... The âWolves are in second place in the Southern Division, five games behind first place Akron. This weekend, the âWolves will travel to Canal Park for a four-game showdown of the top two teams in the division...Harrisburg comes into tonight's gave having lost eight of its last 10. The Senators eight wins are the fewest in the EL and they are 19 games out of first...Righty Luis Marte looks to rebound after taking a loss in his last start at Bowie. He makes his seventh start of the season and second against the Senators. He beat Harrisburg at "The Uht" on April 25. In his last start he went a season-best 7.1 innings, allowing five runs on 13 hits with no walks and three strikeouts. It was the second time this season where Marte did not issue a walk in a game...Lefty Justin Jones takes the mound for the Senators. Jones makes his seventh start and his first against the SeaWolves. After winning his first outing of the year, Jones has fallen in his last five. In his most recent outing against Reading on May 14, Jones went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits with no walks and two strikeouts.
