Today, the SeaWolves look for back-to-back series wins as they take on the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves used a big home run from Tyler Collins in the bottom of the seventh innings to win a 2-1 pitchers duel over the Cats. The win put the ‘Wolves back to five games above .500 and the club is one game behind first place Harrisburg in the EL West...The SeaWolves are in a stretch of 21 straight games against the Eastern Division. Erie is 14-19 against Eastern Division opponents this season...RHP Drew VerHagen makes his Double-A debut against the Rock Cats. VerHagen began the season with Class-A Lakeland where he made 12 appearances (11 starts) going 5-3 with a 2.81 ERA. He won four consecutive and five of his last six starts prior to the promotion to Erie...LHP Logan Darnell takes the mound for the Rock Cats making his 15th start. Darnell has dropped his last two and three of his last four. In his last start against Harrisburg, Darnell allowed three runs, two earned, on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts in seven innings of work. Darnell makes his sixth road start and is 0-2 wit ha 4.32 ERA away from New Britain Stadium...The ‘Wolves will hit the road for six games to Binghamton and Trenton beginning on Friday.
