Tonight, the SeaWolves look for three straight wins as they take on the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) in the middle game of a three game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves and Flying Squirrels battled a lengthy rain delay in the series opener. The ‘Wolves fell behind 1-0 in the top of the sixth but scored five unanswered runs and took the game 5-1. The win, coupled with losses by Harrisburg and Bowie, put the SeaWolves alone in second place in the Western Division. Erie is two back of first place Harrisburg and one game ahead the third place Baysox...Right hander Warwick Saupold makes returns from the disabled list to make his 15th start of the season and first against Richmond. Tonight is Saupold's second start since returning from the disabled list. Saupold took a no-decision in his last start against Akron on July 16. In the game, he allowed a run on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts in four innings of work. Erie won the game 5-2...Lefty Edwin Escobar takes the mound for Richmond making his third start and first against Erie. Escobar earned a win in his last start against Bowie on July 18. In the game, he allowed a run on six hits with no walks and eight strikeouts in 6.2 innings. Escobar began the season with Class-A San Jose where be made 16 appearances, 14 starts, posting a 3-4 record and 2.89 ERA...The SeaWolves need wins in the final two games of the series to split the season series with the Flying Squirrels.
