
SeaWolves Fall 3-1 to Curve

Erie SeaWolves News Release
The SeaWolves drop game two of a four game series to Altoona 3-1. The SeaWolves look to rebound on Saturday in game three.
Altoona gets on the board first for the second straight in the top of the third inning. Greg Picard led off the inning with a single and then swiped second base. With one out in the inning Brock Holt singled putting runners on first and third. Josh Rodriguez drove in Picart with a single to put Altoona up 1-0.
Erie answered backin the bottom of the third as Brandon Douglas led off the inning with an infield single, then quickly stole second base for a team leading 16 stolen bases. Justin Henry grounded out to first moving Douglas to third. With one out Bryan Holaday drove the ball deep into left for the sacrifice driving the run in from third to tie the game 1-1.
Altoona gets the lead right back in the top of the fourth inning as Matt Curry and Kris Watts led off the inning with a pair of singles. With one out and runners on second and third, Picard hit a sacrifice fly to right field driving in Curry from third. Altoona leads 2-1.
Altoona added one more run to take control of the game in the fifth. Holt led off the inning with a walk followed by Josh Rodriguez reaching base on an error by Francisco Martinez putting runners on first and second. With one out Tony Sanchez walked to load the bases. Curry drives in Altoona's third run with a sacrifice fly out to right. Altoona 3 leads Erie 1.
The wins goes to Kyle McPherson, as he went six innings allowing one run on four hits while striking out six. Jacob Turner takes the lose going five innings giving up three runs on seven hits with two walk while striking out three.
