Sean O'Sullivan named MWL Pitcher of the Week

The Midwest League announced today that RHP Sean O'Sullivan has been named the Midwest League Pitcher of the Week for the period August 20-26.
In two starts this past week, O'Sullivan allowed seven hits and an unearned run with a walk and 11 strikeouts. He went eight innings in both starts and currently leads the MWL in ERA (2.07) and is second in innings pitched (152.1).
He was a third round draft pick of the Angels in 2005 and led the Pioneer League last season with a 2.14 ERA.
O'Sullivan is the second Kernel to be so honored as Hank Conger was named the Player of the Week for May 3-June 3.
