Barret Browning named to MWL Post Season All-Star Team

The Midwest League announced their 2007 Post Season All-Star Roster today and LHP Barret Browning has been named to the team as the LH Relief Pitcher. The team was selected by the Field Managers of all fourteen MWL member clubs.
Browning has appeared in 46 games for the Kernels with a 7-4 record, 2.97 ERA and eight saves. In 69.2 innings, he has allowed 50 hits and 25 runs (23 earned) with 25 walks and 72 strikeouts. The league is batting .198 against him this season.
Gorkys Hernandez of West Michigan (Detroit) was named the MWL MVP and Clayton Kershaw of Great Lakes (Dodgers) was named the Prospect of the Year. Tom Brookens of West Michigan was named the Manager of the Year.
