PRINCETON, N.J. - Sean Bonar of the Atlanta Gladiators has been named the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week of January 14-20.
Bonar went 2-0-0 with one shutout, a 0.50 goals-against average and a save percentage of .964 in two appearances at Greenville last week. The 27-year-old stopped all 30 shots in a 3-0 win on Friday and made 32 saves in a 2-1 victory on Saturday. A native of Delta,"ËBritish Columbia, Bonar has won his last six starts in a row and has seen action in 19 games for the Gladiators this season posting a record of 8-8-2 with two shutouts. He is tied for third in the"ËECHL with a .928 save percentage and is fourth with a 2.31 goals-against average.
Bonar has appeared in 70 career ECHL games with Atlanta, Brampton, Fort Wayne, Wichita, Indy and Orlando, with an overall record of 28-30-5 with five shutouts, a 2.72 goals-against average and a save percentage of .914.
