Sea Wolves win third straight

BILOXI, MS- Chase Trull scored the game-winning goal and added one assist as the Mississippi Sea Wolves downed the South Carolina Stingrays by a score of 3-2 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on Friday.

South Carolina got on the board when Nate Kiser blasted a one-timer from the low slot past Jeremy Duchesne at 18:44 of the first period.

Mississippi drew even when Jason Tejchma found a loose puck and popped it past Stingrays goalie Michal Neuvirth at 2:44 of the second with Mississippi on the power play.

Chase Trull took a feed at the top of the left circle and blasted it through Neuvirth's pads to give the Sea Wolves a 2-1 lead at 12:37 of the third period. Mark Rooneem added an empty-net goal at 19:16 to cement the win.

Jeremy Duchesne earned his first win of the season making 23 saves, and the Sea Wolves were 1-for-5 on the power play.
