- Florida's Kevin Baker has a four-game point streak (6g-5a) and a three-game goal streak (6g).
- Mac Faulkner leads the Royals with seven assists and is second on the team with 11 points.
- Everblades' Anton Khudobin has back-to-back shutouts and a scoreless streak of 139:22.
- Matt Herneisen leads Reading with two game-winning goals.

Trenton Devils (4-11-1) at Johnstown Chiefs (13-4-0) 7:05 p.m. ET
- Chiefs have won the last three meetings at Johnstown to improve to 41-34-11 all-time against Trenton.
- Tyler Burton leads the Devils against Johnstown with four assists and five points in four games.
- Petr Pohl leads the Chiefs against Trenton with five assists and seven points in four games.
- Trenton rookie defenseman David Leaderer has three points (2g-1a) in four games against Johnstown.

Wheeling Nailers (9-2-5) at Dayton Bombers (10-5-2) 7:30 p.m. ET
- Against Wheeling the Bombers are 3-0-2 in their last five home games and 6-1-3 in their last 10 home games.
- Nick Johnson leads the Nailers against Dayton with five assists and seven points in two games.
- Dayton rookie Paul Drew is 4-0-1 with a goals-against average of 2.56 in his last five games.

Cincinnati Cyclones (6-7-3) at Elmira Jackals (9-5-1) 7:35 p.m. ET
- Jackals won 7-6 on Nov. 14 to improve to 3-3-0 at home against Cincinnati.
- Cyclones' Olivier Latendresse has scored a goal in five consecutive road games (6g).
- Steve Yetman leads the Jackals against Cincinnati with three goals and is tied for the team lead with four points.
- Cincinnati is third in the league in scoring with 3.94 goals per game.

South Carolina Stingrays (10-3-2) at Mississippi Sea Wolves (8-7-2) 7 p.m. CT
- Sea Wolves have won last two meetings at home, 5-4 in overtime on Thursday and 4-3 in a shootout on Jan. 8.
- Trent Campbell leads Stingrays against Mississippi with seven points and is tied for the team lead with three goals.
- South Carolina leads the ECHL on the power play with 25.3 percent (20-for-79).
- Mississippi's Mathieu Melanson tied his career high with three assists on Thursday.

Victoria Salmon Kings (9-7-2) at Utah Grizzlies (7-8-0) 7:05 p.m. MT
- Dylan Yeo leads the Salmon Kings against Utah with five assists and seven points in three games.
- Utah rookie Vladimir Nikiforov tied career highs with two assists and two points on Wednesday.
- Victoria's Shaun Landolt has a three-game point streak (2g-3a) and a two-game goal streak (2g).
- Grizzlies are 2-0 in shootouts and 5-3-0 in one-goal games.

Bakersfield Condors (6-8-2) at Ontario Reign (8-6-2) 7 p.m. PT
- Ontario rookie Jeff Zatkoff is 2-1-0 with a goals-against average of 2.68 against Bakersfield.
- Condor rookie Matt Pope has a four-game point streak (3g-3a) and a three-game assist streak (3a).
- Jon Francisco leads the Reign against Bakersfield with three assists and four points in three games.
- Bakersfield rookie Dale Reinhardt has a two-game assist streak (2a).

Alaska Aces (12-3-1) at Stockton Thunder (6-8-3) 7:30 p.m. PT
- Aces have won the last three meetings to improve to 16-2-4 all-time against Stockton.
- Cory Urquhart leads Stockton with 10 assists and 17 points in 15 games.
- Alaska's Cam Keith has an 11-game point streak (3g-13a), tying the longest in the league this season.
- Thunder are seventh in the league in scoring with 3.24 goals per game.

Idaho Steelheads (8-7-2) at Fresno Falcons (11-4-1) 7:35 p.m. PT
- Falcons have won the last three meetings at Fresno and are 18-21-5 all-time against Idaho.
- Bryan McGregor leads the Steelheads against Fresno with four assists and four points in two games.
- Mike Radja leads the Falcons against Idaho with four assists and six points in two games.
- Idaho's Marty Flichel has five points (3g-2a) in his last three games.

- The ECHL celebrated its 20th Anniversary in 2007-08 and is the third-longest tenured professional hockey league behind only the National Hockey League and the American Hockey League.
- ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league with 23 teams playing 828 games in 16 states and British Columbia in 2008-09.
- The Reading Royals, the City of Reading and the Sovereign Center will host the 17th Annual ECHL All-Star Game on Jan. 21, 2009 and the 12th Annual All-Star Skills Competition on Jan. 20, 2009.
- The league officially changed its name from East Coast Hockey League to ECHL on May 19, 2003.
- Affiliations with 26 of the 30 teams in the National Hockey League marking 12th consecutive season that the league has had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
- 372 former ECHL players have played in NHL.
- 116 have played their first NHL game in the last four seasons.

- Former ECHL coaches working as head coaches in the NHL are Bruce Boudreau of the Washington Capitals, Scott Gordon of the New York Islanders and Peter Laviolette of the Carolina Hurricanes. Boudreau, who coached Mississippi for three seasons winning the Kelly Cup championship in 1999, was named NHL Coach of the Year in 2007-08 becoming the first former ECHL coach to receive the award. Laviolette, who began his coaching career with the Wheeling Nailers, led Carolina Hurricanes to the Stanley Cup in 2006.
- There are 18 assistant coaches in the NHL who were players or coaches in the ECHL.
- There are 18 former ECHL officials scheduled to work as part of the NHL officiating team in 2008-09 with referees David Banfield, Chris Ciamaga, Ghislain Hebert, Marc Joannette, Mike Leggo, Wes McCauley, Dean Morton, Dan O'Rourke, Brian Pochmara, Kevin Pollock, Kyle Rehman, Chris Rooney, Justin St. Pierre and Ian Walsh and linesmen Steve Barton, Brian Mach, Tim Nowak and Jay Sharrers. Barton, Joannette, Leggo, McCauley, Nowak, Pollock, Rooney and Sharrers all worked the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
- ECHL has affiliations with 25 of the 29 teams in the American Hockey League and for the past 19 years there has been an ECHL player on the Calder Cup Champion.
- In the last six seasons the ECHL has had more call-ups to the AHL than all other professional leagues combined with over 2,000 call-ups involving more than 1,000 players since 2002-03.
