Sea Wolves Make Three Roster Moves

BILOXI, Miss. – Mississippi Sea Wolves coach Bob Woods announced today forward Cody Bowtell (BOH-tehl) has been placed on the 7-day injured reserve, forward Dave Paradise has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve and forward Kent Davyduke (DAH-vih-dewk) has been returned by the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League.

Bowtell, 28, has 25 goals, career-high 33 assists, totaling 58 points and 46 penalty minutes in 56 games. The 5-foot-11 and 190-pound veteran is in his fifth season with Mississippi and sixth year of professional hockey.

Paradise, 29, missed three games since being placed on the IR on March 20. In 63 games this season for the Sea Wolves, the 6-foot and 190-pound veteran has scored 37 goals, added 36 assists for 73 points in addition to 141 penalty minutes.

Davyduke, 23, played 13 games for Manchester scoring one goal and accumulating nine penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1 and 205-pound rookie has appeared in 23 games for Mississippi tallying 11 goals and 22 assists for 33 points to go along with 26 penalty minutes.

Mississippi takes to the ice tonight at 7:05 p.m. at Pensacola.

The Sea Wolves open the 2003 Kelly Cup Playoffs with the opening two games of the Southwest Division Semifinals at home. Game 1 is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum against a yet to be named opponent. Game 2 is at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, April 4 at the Wolves Den.

Sea Wolves fans are encouraged to wear white for the postseason.
