The Generals defeated the Roanoke Express 4-2 on Tuesday night in another nail-biting finish. Greensboro fell behind 1-0 after the first period. The Express regained the lead early in the third, but Mike Oliveira retaliated to even the score with just 5:10 left in the game. With overtime looming, Rod Aldoff scored the game winning goal on a slap shot with just 1:22 left in the game for a 3-2 lead, and Murphy added an empty net goal to seal the victory.
