The SeaWolves dropped the rubber game of a three-game series to the Portland Sea Dogs, 2-1, on Thursday afternoon at Hadlock Field.

Portland jumped ahead in the second against Erie starter Tommy Collier. Henry Ramos doubled with one out and scored on a Keury De La Cruz single for a 1-0 lead.

The Dogs added to their lead in the second. Tzu-Wei Lin doubled to right with one out and scored on a Sam Travis RBI knock making it 2-0.

Portland starter Justin Haley (5-13) was brilliant tossing seven scoreless frames, allowing just one hit to Connor Harrell. Haley struck out six without allowing a walk.

Erie's lone run came in the eighth when Harrell belted a solo home run over "The Maine Monster" in left off of reliever Williams Jerez. The 403-foot blast made it a 2-1 game. The home run for Harrell was his sixth of the year and second in as many games. Jerez went on to retire the final five hitters in order, earning his first save.

Collier (3-2) was the tough luck loser for Erie. He allowed two runs on seven hits with a walk and three strikeouts in seven innings of work. It was the 11th time in 14 starts that Collier allowed three runs or fewer.
