New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
MANCHESTER, N.H. - The following is a preview of the special events coming to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium during the upcoming series with the Erie SeaWolves from August 14-16.
HELICOPTER GAME BALL DELIVERY
Seacoast Helicopters will be on hand with a helicopter on the field before the game. At 12:45 p.m., one fan and a guest, chosen through a social media contest, will take off in the helicopter on a tour of Manchester, and then land back on the field at 1:15 p.m. to deliver the game ball and first pitch.
OPPONENT
The Erie SeaWolves are currently in last place in the Western Division and have a 45-68 record on the season.
ERIE SEAWOLVES PROSPECTS
Michael Fulmer (RHP) - A new member of the Tigers organization, Fulmer was drafted as the 44th pick overall by the New York Mets in 2011. He pitched for the Binghamton Mets before a trade to Detroit. In his first week with the Tigers, he went 2-0 and was named Eastern League Pitcher of the week for Erie on August 10.
Austin Kubitza (RHP) - Bradley is ranked eleventh overall on the list of top prospects in the Tigers organization. He was drafted as a fourth round pick of the 2013 draft. This season with Erie, Kubitza has started 21 games and has a 7-10 record with a 5.73 ERA. Kubitza is known for producing many ground ball outs and in 103.2 innings so far this season he has struck out 76 batters.
PROMOTIONS
Friday, August 14: We're celebrating Granite State Conservation Night presented by the National Wildlife Federation. We're promoting the health and cleanliness of our state's wildlife ecosystem. Following the game there will be an Atlas Fireworks presentation presented by the National Wildlife Federation and a scout night Sleepover on the field.
Saturday, August 15: We'll continue to celebrate Shark Week with trivia, games, music, and more at the park. There will also be an Atlas Fireworks presentation following the game presented by AutoFair.
Sunday, August 16: One lucky fan will deliver the Fisher Cats game ball to the field from a helicopter, courtesy of Seacoast Helicopters. Fans will be able to take pictures with the helicopter on the field prior to the start of the game. There will also be a pre-game sing-a-long with Lil' Iguana's Children's Safety Foundation on the field. The first 1,000 kids to enter the ballpark will receive a free throwback Fisher Cats jersey courtesy of Coca-Cola.
