Sea Dogs Receive Kris Negron from Greenville, Khoury Placed on the DL

Portland, Maine- The Boston Red Sox have placed Sea Dogs' infielder Ryan Khoury on the disabled list. Replacing Khoury on the roster is infielder Kris Negron who is joining the club from from Single-A Greenville. Negron is the 39th player to wear a Sea Dogs uniform this season.

The 22-year old Negron, has appeared in 81 games for Greenville this season hitting .241 with 12 doubles, 22 RBI and 21 stolen bases. Last season he ranked second in the Red Sox system with a career high 31 steals between Single-A Greenville and Single-A Lancaster. Negron was named the Red Sox Minor League Base Stealer of the Month for May in 2007. He was selected by the Red Sox in the 7th round in the June 2006 draft.

Khoury has appeared in 71 games for the Sea Dogs this season hitting .283 with 18 doubles, 34 RBI and 42 runs scored. The 24 year old was drafted by the Red Sox in the 12th round in the June 2006 draft.
