WELCOME IN THE YANKS AFFILAITE : The Sea Dogs open up a four-game series against the Trenton Thunder (Yankees affiliate) on Thursday night at Hadlock Field...With a win tonight, Portland will be 31 games over .500 for the first time since August 27, 1995 (83-52)...The 'Dogs began this homestand by taking three of four from the Reading Fightin Phils...RHP Justin Haley is making his Double-A debut for Portland...The righty went 7-4, 2.82 ERA (29 ER/92.2 IP) in 19 games/11 starts with High-A Salem.

CAN WE GET MORE HEIKER : SS Heiker Meneses' two-out, two-run double in the eighth inning, gave the Sea Dogs a 2-1 win over the Reading Fightin Phils on Wednesday afternoon at Hadlock Field...RHP Noe Ramirez retired all five batters to earn his second win of the year...LHP Brian Johnson worked a career-high 7.1 innings, allowing just one hit (Reading's only hit of the day), a run-scoring single to RF Kelly Dugan in the first...Johnson walked three and fanned four...3B Michael Almanzar and DH David Chester each had two hits for Portland - the 'Dogs had 10 hits and 15 baserunners on the day.
