Chesapeake Baysox News Release
BOWIE, Md. -The Bowie Baysox announce today the Family Campout at Prince George's Stadium Friday, August 15 after the Baysox take on the Trenton Thunder at 6:35 p.m. After the game, fans will have the chance to pitch their tents and spend a night on the field under the stars.
Following the baseball game, fans and families will enjoy a spectacular fireworks show and the kids can run the bases. Those who purchased the special camping ticket pack will then get their camping gear and head onto the field for a night of fun. Once all the tents are set up, a family-friendly movie will be shown on the video board for all campers to enjoy.
Tickets for the campout are $10 and include a Box Seat Ticket to the Baysox game. Families also have the option of purchasing one of two food voucher options. Food voucher #1 costs $5.50 per voucher and includes a junior hot dog, a bag of potato chips and a Hi-C drink. Food voucher #2 costs $7.75 and includes a hamburger, a bag of potato chips and a Hi-C drink.
Families are encouraged to register early for this fun night under the stars on the Prince George's Stadium field due to the limited number of tent spaces. Fans must pre-register for their tent space at the time of their ticket order. Tickets can be ordered online at www.baysoxshop.com or by calling Ashley Nalley at (301)-464-4885.
To protect the playing field, no staked tents will be allowed on the field and no grills, open flames, or cooking equipment will be allowed on the field or inside the stadium. Campers are to leave their coolers and camping gear in their vehicles during the game and will be given a campout pass that will allow them to re-enter the stadium after the game.
