LET'S PLAY TWO: The Portland Sea Dogs and Binghamton Rumble Ponies (Mets affiliate) play a doubleheader on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium...With last night's win, the 'Dogs have clinched a winning record in Binghamton this season...Portland is 3-2-5 in doubleheaders this season, with tonight's game two the make-up from June 2nd's postponement...RHP Matthew Gorst makes the spot-start in game two, his second career start (first on 4/30 with Pawtucket at Buffalo).
'DOGS HOLD ON: RF Marcus Wilson snapped a 2-2 tie with a two-out RBI single in the seventh inning, leading the Sea Dogs to a 3-2 win in the series opener...C Charlie Madden went 4-for-4 with a homer, 2 RBI, and two doubles...RHP Bryan Mata (W, 3-6) snapped a three-game losing streak by hurling six innings on five hits, two runs, three walks, and two strikeouts...RHP Robinson Leyer earned a hold with two innings, and RHP Jordan Weems secured his eighth save of the year.
