BACK IN MAINE: The Portland Sea Dogs finished the regular season by playing 11 of the final 16 games at Hadlock Field...Tonight, the 'Dogs and Reading Fightin Phils (Phillies affiliate) open up a three-game series in Maine...Reading holds a 5.5 game lead over the Sea Dogs for the top spot in the division...The standings online do not reflect Reading winning the head-to-head this half...Following this series, the Trenton Thunder invade Hadlock on Thursday.
NETZER PROVIDED THE POWER: 2B Brett Netzer accounted for Portland's lone run, leading off the fourth inning with a solo homer (#7) in a 10-1 loss on Sunday in New Hampshire...The 'Dogs dropped two of three to the 'Cats over the weekend and went 2-5 on the trip...New Hampshire received 3 RBI from SS Kevin Smith and C Riley Adams...RHP Thomas Hatch (1-3) worked six innings on three hits and one run to earn his first win in the Blue Jays system.
