TRIP SWINGS TO HARTFORD : The Portland Sea Dogs begin part two of their six-game roadtrip on Monday night against the Hartford Yard Goats (Rockies affiliate) from Dunkin' Donuts Park...Last week at Hadlock Field, the two teams split a four-game series...Kevin McAvoy and Jack Wynkoop are facing off for the second time in six days...The 'Dogs dropped two of three to Trenton over the weekend...Hartford swept the Harrisburg Senators to open up their homestand.
HELD TO JUST ONE...AGAIN : For the second straight day, the Sea Dogs were held to one run, falling 5-1 to the Thunder on Sunday afternoon...Tate Matheny scored the last two runs of the series for the Sea Dogs, going 1-for-4 yesterday...Trenton scored four times off Kyle Hart (L, 1-2) in the first inning and never looked back...Bruce Caldwell knocked in Trenton's final run with a solo-homer to start the sixth...Yankory Pimentel fired two scoreless frames and fanned four in relief of Hart.
