
Schell Called up to AHL Chicago

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that forward Brad Schell has been called up to the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League for the second time this season.
The Scott, Saskatchewan native collected a goal and an assist for the Wolves in two games during his first call up this season. He collected 1 goal and 2 assists for the Wolves in 10 AHL games last season.
Schell currently leads the ECHL in scoring with 98 points off of 23 goals and 75 assists. He leads teammate Scott Mifsud, who ranks second overall in the ECHL in scoring, by 19 points.
Schell has also set a new Gladiators' all time team record for assists (74) and points (95) in a season. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound centerman posted a career best 15 game point (8g, 24a) scoring streak from November 25th through December 30th and was named the ECHL Player of the Month for December.
He was also selected as a starter and the Captain for the American Conference Squad in the 2007 ECHL All Star Game in Boise, Idaho. Schell also collected the All Star Game's first goal for the American Conference.
Schell has posted 32 multiple point games for the Gladiators while tying a career high with 5 points (1g, 4a) for the Gladiators in an 8-3 win at South Carolina on October 29th.
Schell should be available for the Wolves for their 8:00 p.m. tilt against Omaha at home on Saturday night.
