vs Las Vegas Wranglers

Game three of a three-game series (series tied 1-1)

LAST GAME vs Las Vegas: The Salmon Kings fought the hook of the Pacific division leading Las Vegas Wranglers as they squared off for the second game of the series at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.

Victoria forward F.P. Guenette scored his 11th goal of the season to give the Salmon Kings the 1-0 edge in the first period, and Julien Ellis kept the crease clear for the first two periods.

Las Vegas tallied two goals within three minutes to nab the lead in the third period. Joe Tallari and Tyler Mosienko stirred the crowd of 4,103 and put the pressure on the home team. Victoria's Kiel McLeod capitalized on an odd man rush to tie the game with plenty of time remaining in regulation, but both goaltenders stood strong to help force the extra period. Victoria and Las Vegas each had powerplays in overtime, but the bouncing puck rolled them into a shootout (the Salmon Kings fifth of the season, and the Wranglers seventh of the season). Milan Gajic, Wes Goldie, and Ryan Wade each scored as the Salmon Kings shooters, and Ellis denied all but one Las Vegas shooter (Mosienko) to force tonight's series rubber match. Victoria 3-2 (shoot out)
