Sceviour, Oleksiak Recalled by Dallas

CEDAR PARK, TX - The Texas Stars, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Dallas Stars, announced today that Dallas has recalled right wing Colton Sceviour and defenseman Jamie Oleksiak to the NHL.

Oleksiak, 20, has skated in 38 games for Texas this season, recording 17 points (3 goals, 14 assists) and a plus-6 rating. The 6-foot-7 Toronto, Ontario native was Dallas' first-round selection (14th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Sceviour, 23, ranks third among all Texas Stars in scoring with 23 points (11 goals, 12 assists) and leads the club with a plus-9 rating. The Red Deer, Alberta native was taken by Dallas in the fourth round (112th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

Dallas has now recalled eight members of the Texas Stars for their training camp roster. The Stars' NHL training camp will run through Friday, January 18th and Dallas will open the 2012-13 NHL regular season at home against the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday, January 19th at American Airlines Center.

Texas continues its six-game road trip on Wednesday, January 16th against the Chicago Wolves at Allstate Arena. The Stars return home on Saturday, January 26th to square off with the San Antonio Rampage at 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Park Center.
