Tye McGinn Returns to Phantoms

January 16, 2013 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Adirondack Phantoms News Release

The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that LW Tye McGinn has been returned on loan to the Adirondack Phantoms, according to general manager Paul Holmgren. McGinn had been in Voorhees, NJ for about the past week with the Philadelphia Flyers for the beginning of the NHL training camp. He was absent for two Phantoms games last weekend while preparing for the training camp.

Tye McGinn (30 GP, 9-4-13, 52 PIM) has increased his scoring production this year and has found a home in front of the net using his big body to screen goalies and dig out rebounds. McGinn is the only one of the group who has not played in the NHL but his success in the first half of this season has earned him the opportunity in this camp. His older brother, Jamie McGinn, plays in the NHL for the Colorado Avalanche.
