Sauve Traded to Stockton Heat by Portland

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley today announced that Yann Sauve has been traded to the Stockton Heat for future considerations by the Portland Pirates. Sauve was on loan to Manchester from Portland.

Sauve, a 6-foot-3, 209 pound defenseman from Montreal, Quebec, appeared in 51 games for the Monarchs scoring seven goals and 22 assists over that time.

In his sixth pro season, Sauve was selected in the Second Round (41st Overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks. He has played a total of eight NHL games, all with Vancouver.
