South Carolina got goals from Jared Staal and Joe Devin, and 31 saves from Mark Dekanich on an evening where the club helped fight breast cancer.
SOUTH DIVISION BATTLES
Twelve of the remaining 14 games for the Stingrays are matchups versus the South Division. The Stingrays battle Atlanta six times, and Orlando, Florida and Greenville two times in the final month of the season. This season, South Carolina is 18-10-2-1 versus the South Division, and enters the week just one point back of South Division leading Florida.

On Friday, the South Carolina Stingrays earned a 4-2 win at Atlanta. It was the club's first win when trailing after the second period. The Stingrays scored three goals in the third period, including two goals from defenseman Joey Leach, including the game-winning tally with just 1:59 to play. South Carolina is now 1-13-1-1 when trailing after two periods.
PACAN CLOSING IN
Forward David Pacan needs just two points to set a new career-high for points in a season. The forward has registered 51 points (18 goals, 33 assists) this season in 56 games with South Carolina. Pacan's career-best season came during his rookie campaign in 2012-13 as a member of the Cincinnati Cyclones. Pacan registered 52 points in 57 games. The Ottawa, Ontario native is the Stingrays leading scorer this season.
PINK IN THE RINK A SUCCESS
The Stingrays hosted the 10th Annual Pink in the Rink presented by Trident Heath last Saturday, March 5 benefiting Share Our Suzy. While the club fell 3-2 to Adirondack in the overtime, the evening was a success to help the fight against breast cancer. The Stingrays wore pink jerseys, skated on pink ice and welcomed 7,129 fans. The club hosted a postgame jersey auction with proceeds going towards Share our Suzy. Forward Jared Staal's jersey went for a team-best $3,000 at auction, while captain Andrew Rowe's jersey raised over $4,400 via an in-game raffle.
