
Grizzlies Beat Kalamazoo 6-3

Kalamazoo, Michigan - The Utah Grizzlies (32-22-3-2) defeated the Kalamazoo Wings 6-3 Monday evening at Wings Events Center.
Utah scored four-straight to erase a 2-1 deficit after one period as they got goals from six different players, with ten players collecting at least a point and four skaters totaling multiple-points.
"I thought we played a good game," said Head Coach/General Manager Tim Branham. "We had a really good effort by everyone."
Utah tied the game at one 25 seconds after falling behind 1-0 3:01 into the contest on Alex Krushelnyski's team leading 23rd goal of the season from Bryan Moore and Charles Sarault. The Wings made it 2-1 at 7:09 and held that lead after one period despite Utah outshooting them 16-11.
The Grizzlies tied the game at two 1:47 into the second period as Eric Knodel picked up a turnover in front of the line and rolled to T.J. Syner for his tenth of the season. Utah took their first lead of the night 6:39 into the second period as Cody Ferriero walked Utah into the zone and dropped to Marc Cantin who clanged in his third of the season as T.J. Syner picked up an assist.
Utah scored early in the third period as Erik Higby took the puck away from Kalamazoo goaltender Joel Martin and fed Ryan Hayes (4) who had a wide open tap in at 1:47 of the third.
The Grizzlies made it 5-2 on a power-play goal by Barry Almeida (21) has he went top shelf from on top of the crease from Syner again as he and Mark Cantin both capped off their one goal and two assist nights.
After Kalamazoo got one back, Ryan Hayes fed Higby (12) skating through the slot in transition and that capped the scoring.
Mark Owuya stopped 18 of the last 19 he saw and 24 of 27 in goal to earn the win for Utah.
The Grizzlies complete their seven-game road stretch Tuesday in Kalamazoo. Face-off is at 5 p.m.
Back Home
The Grizzlies return home Friday, March 11 and Saturday, March 12 to host Colorado. It is the team's Beer Fest weekend with a $27 Center Plaza Ticket available that includes a select bottle or draft beer and a bratwurst when mentioning this offer at the arena box office.
Final Wild Wednesday
The Grizzlies final Wild Wednesday of the season is Wednesday, March 23 against Tulsa. It is the final chance for students to get $5 Lower Bowl Tickets. In additional, all fans can take advantage of: $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Churros, $2 Soft Drinks and $4 Grizzly Goalden Ale.

On Friday, March 25 when the Grizzlies host Tulsa at 7 p.m., fans can get a lower bowl ticket, a Chicken Cheesesteak Sandwich and a soft drink for $20 when mentioning this offer at the arena box office.
Saturday, March 26
Saturday, March 26 is our annual Military Night when the Grizzlies host Tulsa at 7 p.m. More Details coming soon.

For Fan Appreciation Weekend, fans can get a lower bowl ticket and a Grizzlies T-Shirt for $20 when mentioning this offer at the arena box office for the final two regular season home games against Alaska.
