Santa Cruz Warriors News Release

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired guard Harouna Mutombo and the Idaho Stampede's original third-round draft pick in the 2013 NBA D-League Draft in exchange for guard Durrell Summers.

Mutombo, who was selected 115th overall (3rd pick, 8th round) by the Idaho Stampede in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft last Friday, averaged 12 points and 5.18 rebounds in 132 games with Western Carolina University. The 6'4", 200-pound guard became the eighth player in school history to score over 1,500 points with more than 650 rebounds. Mutombo, a Pickering, Ontario native, is the nephew of legendary center Dikembe Mutombo, who was the fourth overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft and played 18 seasons in the league.

Summers was selected 61st overall (13th pick, 4th round) by the Santa Cruz Warriors in last Friday's draft. Summers averaged 11.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 34 games during his senior year at Michigan State University and spent part of last season with the NBA D-League's Maine Red Claws.
