Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Guard Dominique Johnson from Texas

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired NBA D-League veteran guard Dominique Johnson from the Texas Legends in exchange for guard Faisal Aden.

Johnson averaged 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 45 games with the Texas Legends last season. Johnson also played in this year's NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, averaging 9.0 points in 3 games. A two-time NAIA All-American while at Azusa Pacific University, the 6'3", 195-pound guard led his team in scoring during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 seasons.

Aden, a 6'4", 179-pound guard from Washington State, was selected 45th overall (13th pick, 3rd round) by the Santa Cruz Warriors in Friday's 2012 NBA D-League Draft. Aden, who was born in Somalia, averaged 13.3 points and 3.16 rebounds in 50 games with the Washington State Cougars.
