Iowa Wolves News Release

DES MOINES, IA November 5, 2012- The Iowa Energy have acquired guard Mustapha Farrakhan from the Bakersfield Jam in exchange for Cam Tatum. Tatum was selected in the third round of the 2012 NBA D-League Draft by the Energy.

Farrakhan, a 6'4" guard out of the University of Virginia, appeared in 39 regular season games for the Jam last season where he averaged 9.0 points and 3.4 assists per game. The Chicago native will join the Energy this week for training camp.

"Mustapha is a player we have liked for some time. He has great size for a guard and can play multiple positions. We are really excited to bring him to Des Moines and get him in an Energy uniform," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris. "We agreed to the deal with Bakersfield during the draft, and were able to make it official with the league today."

The Energy open their home schedule on Saturday, December 1st vs. Ft Wayne at 7:00pm. Single game tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10:00am at DahlsTickets.com or by calling 564-8550.
