THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Thursday, Jan. 1 at Utica Comets

The Utica Memorial Auditorium, 2:00 p.m.

The only New Year's Day game in the American Hockey League, the Rampage will meet the Western Conference-leading Utica Comets for the fourth and final time of the regular season. San Antonio is 0-2 -1-0 against Utica so far this season. The Silver and Black fell 5-4 in overtime in the last meeting between the teams, which took place at the AT&T Center on Dec. 5.

Friday, Jan. 2 at Toronto Marlies

Ricoh Coliseum, 6:00 p.m.

The Rampage will look to avenge a 3-2 loss suffered to the Marlies on Nov. 7, the only meeting between the two teams so far this sea- son. This will be the first matchup of the 2014-15 campaign at Ricoh Coliseum. After a rocky start, Toronto has gone 6-2-2-0 over their last 10 games and improved to ninth place in the Western Confer- ence, just seven points behind the fifth-place Rampage.

Saturday, Jan. 3 at Toronto Marlies

Ricoh Coliseum, 2:00 p.m.

Shane O'Brien and Andrew Yogan each tallied goals in a 3-2 loss to the Marlies in the last meeting between the two teams. The goal was the first of the season and first in a Rampage uniform for Yogan.

With eight goals and 16 assists, Connor Brown leads Toronto in scoring. Byron Froese, who started the season with San Antonio before being reassigned to the Cincinnati Cyclones, was loaned to the Marlies and has four goals and two assists in seven contests.

VALUE NIGHT

Saturday, Jan. 10

The Rampage will host Value Night on Saturday, Jan.

10. Fans can purchase a pack of four tickets for $40, and the package will include a hot dog, chips and a soda in addition to the tickets.

80's NIGHT

Saturday, Jan. 17

Break out your legwarmers, big hair and high-tops.

Jan. 17 will be 80's Night at the AT&T Center, as the Rampage host the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m.

FREE HOCKEY: The Rampage and the Oklahoma City Barons played an overtime game for the fifth time this season on Saturday night at the AT&T Center. Of San Antonio's nine overtime games so far this season, five have come against the Barons and eight have been against West Division opponents.

SPECIAL TEAMS: After an 0-for-21 drought over an eight-game stretch heading into Sunday's game against the Texas Stars, the Rampage's power play came alive. San Antonio scored two goals on four opportunities with the man advantage in a 6-3 loss to the Stars. Bobby Butler and Garrett Wilson accounted for the two tallies. With three power-play goals, Butler is now tied with defenseman Steven Kampfer for the team lead in power-play goals.

ICE CHIPS: Jesse Blacker - Rampage Defenseman

Defenseman Jesse Blacker was acquired by the Florida Panthers in a trade with the Anaheim Ducks for defenseman Colby Robak on Dec. 4. Blacker was a second-round draft pick (58th overall) of the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2009. He made his debut for the Rampage on Dec. 21 against the Charlotte Checkers and notched his first goal in a Ram- page sweater in Sunday's game against the Texas Stars.
